Bio

Since 1985, Kok-Meng Lee has been a faculty member in the School of Mechanical Engineering. His research interests include system dynamics/control, robotics, automation and mechatronics. Lee holds eight patents in machine vision, three degrees of freedom (DOF) spherical motor/encoder and live-bird handling system.

Lee is Editor-in-Chief for the IEEE/ASME journal Transactions on Mechatronics. He has received numerous awards and accolades, including the National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator Award, the Sigma Xi Junior Faculty Research Award and the Kayamori Best Paper Award. Additionally, Lee was inducted into the International Hall of Fame in New Technology.
