Aerial Robotics Team Wins International Competition
The Georgia Tech Aerial Robotics (GTAR) team finished first in the 2008 International Aerial Robotics Competition at the McKenna Soldier Battle Lab facility in Fort Benning, Georgia.
RIM Seminar - Sept. 3 - Household Robotics by Beetz
The fall RIM seminar series will be every other Wednesday in the Tech
Square Research Building (TSRB), 85 Fifth Street at noon. The first
fall seminar will be Wednesday September 3. The seminar will be given
by Prof. Beetz from TU Munich.
The first RIM Seminar of Fall 08' will be held in room 104 of the Couch Building (840 McMillan St) on August 22, 3:00pm. It will be on the control requirements of robot produced music and its use as a communication medium. The seminar will be hosted by Gil Weinberg.
Snowmotes are robotic arctic rovers currently in development by RIM Professor Ayanna Howard. With the purpose of remotely monitoring climate change these snowmobiles are far from normal.
